It was
wires, tubes
deep breaths
tears
exhaustion, anticipation
pain
and
prayer
Today it's
pancakes, bacon
too much sticky syrup
spills
sister
skipping school
and still
prayer
For the love of enduring fleeting temporary pain, watching you grow, skipping school and birthdays,
